Before joining AKLC, I always had a hard time clarifying my doubts. In AKLC, I became more comfortable and was able to express myself easily during lessons and I was able to improve. Through coaching, I had a chance to improve my leadership skills. I would like to thank the coaches, trainers for being supportive and allowing me to grow and further improve myself.
I enjoy learning here at AKLC. Whatever magic spell AKLC cast on me definitely worked and it helped me to grasp concepts I could not understand before. I would recommend AKLC to my friends who have difficulty understanding some methods poorly explained by your Maths teacher at school as Maths would be made easier here!
My coaching experience helped me to know when or how to speak appropriately and constructively, especially to adults and even strangers. The experience has transformed me greatly - I am now more sociable and matured in my interactions - in ways that I know will put me in good stead in the future.
Before I joined AKLC, my Chinese grades were not good and I had trouble recognising words. After joining AKLC in 2016, I was P3 then, I improved tremendously. The results improved from below 20 to above 60. I was awarded the STAR Award - Most Improved Student, in recognition of my improvement. The trainers are patient and helped me a lot. They show concern and answer any doubts that I have. They even assisted me in my schoolwork. Thank you, trainers!
Before coming to class, I always fail to understand the questions. After joining AKLC, I am now able to understand and answer the questions! I learnt the Arrow Transfer Model (ATM) method which helped me improve drastically. I really like class as they help to turn a normal lesson into an interactive and enjoyment-filled class! My friends, I truly recommend you to join this class to save time for all exams!
I joined AKLC since I was in P4 (2015), in the English and Math classes.
What I like best about AKLC is that we don't only work hard but we play hard too! The trainers and student leaders are like family, who's always there to support and motivate us, whether in class or bonding activities such as AKLC family day.
During this time, the AKLC learning materials have helped me understand and do better in English and Math as my trainers are always very engaging and personally interested to provide extra classes or materials whenever I needed them. Classes are also not always conducted in a serious academic way but also comes with fun activities, sharing or videos which helps make learning fun and lasting.
My journey with AKLC has helped me achieved 4As in my PSLE which helped me entered into my choice secondary school and I look forward to furthering my learning journey with AKLC - where all can work hard and play hard!
Before I joined AKLC, my results were either Cs or Ds. Joining AKLC at the start of Sec 3 proved to be the turning point for me. My Trainer was able to identify my weaknesses in study skills right at the start and worked on improving them step by step. With the skills I have picked up in AKLC, I am glad to have scored 8 A1s for my O level and enrolled in the Junior College of my choice.
In 2016, my Maths was at a low A. I have been trying to improve my math grades to A* and in 2017 I scored a high A for my Math. I first went to the AKLC PSLE Seminar 2017 and found that the seminar was helpful as I got to understand math better. Since then the lessons and coaching had transformed me into a clever and intelligent person. I would like to thank my math teacher, Ms Cel, as she turned math into a fun, interesting and easy subject for me. I would recommend AKLC to all my friends especially to my cousin as she is weak in math. I think her grades will improve by leaps and bounds after she joins AKLC. Overall, I think AKLC is a place where you can have fun while learning and playing and I hope that this will continue.
Before coming to AKLC, I faced many challenges in Chinese, Maths and English. At AKLC, I learned techniques in all these subjects (such as the Arrow Transfer Model), which I applied in exams and scored fairly well. I managed to score an A* for my prelims. Thank you Ms Cel, Nice and Friendly Ms Ashley and Mr Jeff (the cool bro). Thank you for teaching me.
Before I joined AKLC, I had difficulties answering the questions with relevant keywords and I often took a long time to solve them. Now I understand the questions a lot more and am able to answer them more confidently. I would like to thank my trainer for her dedication to our learning journey, bringing joy to our class and making everyone laugh!
